My research interests are focused on numerical modeling of physical processes in the ocean.

My current research projects include:

• generation of topographic waves by moving tropical cyclones;
• study of strong currents in the deep Gulf of Mexico;
• data analysis of observational data in the Apalachicola Bay, northern Gulf of Mexico;
• development of high-resolution (30 arc seconds) surge model of the northern Gulf of Mexico using unstructured grid approach.

I am also involved in the study of physics and ecosystem dynamics of the northern Gulf of Mexico under the Northern Gulf of Mexico Cooperative Institute research project.
