My research interests are focused on numerical modeling of physical processes in the ocean.
My current research projects include:
- generation of topographic waves by moving tropical cyclones;
- study of strong currents in the deep Gulf of Mexico;
- data analysis of observational data in the Apalachicola Bay, northern Gulf of Mexico;
- development of high-resolution (30 arc seconds) surge model of the northern Gulf of Mexico using unstructured grid approach.
I am also involved in the study of physics and ecosystem dynamics of the northern Gulf of Mexico under the Northern Gulf of Mexico Cooperative Institute research project.
