My research is mainly about the interaction between the Kuroshio and the South China Sea. Currently I work with Dr. Chassignet in the study of eddy shedding phenomena from the Kuroshio in the Luzon Strait. Although these phenomena share similarity with those in the Gulf of Mexico, their unique features are most of my concern. The study will mainly based on analysis of the HYCOM model result and modeling.
