I was born in Covington, Louisiana, on July 16, 1985. I spent most of my childhood in central Tennessee, and my family currently resides on the sunny beaches of Bradenton, Florida. I spent two years at the Georgia Institute of Technology with a major in mathematics. I transferred to Florida State University in fall of 2005, and I am planning to finish my undergraduate work by spring of 2008, pursuing a double major in meteorology and applied mathematics. I am currently treasurer of the North Florida AMS and a member of the Chi Epsilon Pi honor society. My research involves determining whether there is any correlation between monthly precipitation totals in the northeastern U.S. and monthly heat flux averages over the northwestern Atlantic Ocean. I also do quality control work with the FSU winds project.
