I was born in Rochester, MN and raised in Parkland, Florida (30 minutes north of Ft. Lauderdale). I have a B.S. in Computer Science from Florida State University and I am currently working on my M.S. in Computer Science. Currently at COAPS, I am working under Shawn Smith on the SAMOS initiative maintaining the web interface and databases. My Reasearch Assistantship at COAPS is in working on the North Gulf Institute (NGI) project that will mimic SAMOS is many ways, but for automated data quality control for research towers in the Northern Gulf for meterogical as well as oceanographic data.
