| The following movie/animation illustrate the mean Sea Surface Temperatures for the period from 1961 - 1990. The data used to make this movie was taken from the Global Sea-Ice and Sea Surface Temperature Data (GISST2). The data file contained 1-degree-area monthly means of Sea Surface Temperature and Ice cover, from the period of January 1961 to December 1990. All temperatures are plotted in Degrees Celsius, and all sea areas covered by more than 95% ice are shaded light grey. |
