In this page you will find a step by step documentation on how to implement tidal forcing in HYCOM using the EGBERT model


Documentation

Most of the documentation has been made by Carlos Lozano and his team. I have coded a MATLAB function that directly gives you HYCOM tidal forcing files using the EGBERT model output for your HYCOM domain (in any projection). Required input are only the dimensions of your domain, topography (regional.depth.[ab]), grid information (regional.grid.[ab]), and port index (start and end of open boundaries). I have also written a short step by step explanation of tides implementation in HYCOM. Email me for more information
