The Australian R/V Aurora Australis , an Antarctic Cooperative Research Centre for the Antarctic and Southern Ocean Environment sponsored ship, provided automated weather observations taken every 15 minutes. The Data Logging System (automated weather system) was located at the center of the vessel. The variables available are:

  • Platform Heading
  • Platform Speed
  • Earth Relative Wind Direction
  • Earth Relative Wind Speed
  • Sea Temperature
  • Atmospheric Pressure
  • Air Temperature
  • Relative Humidity

Note: All variables may not be available in all cruises.
